Job Description

Title: Utility Worker

Location: Ogden, UT 84401

Duration: 0‑5+ Months

Shift: M-F 7:00 – 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $19.82/Hour on W‑2

• Maintain the sanitary condition of the facility and fill in for 1–2 operating positions in the plant.
• Routine cleaning of floors, equipment, roofs and outside grounds.
• Specialized cleaning tasks such as bin cleanings, reblot sifter, filter sock changes.
• Special duties assigned by management.
• Basic process maintenance.
• Cross‑trained in at least two different operator jobs.
• Responsible for understanding and following all personnel and equipment safety policies, sanitation policies, and all Business Unit policies and procedures.
• Ascend and descend stairs throughout the facility.
• Climb ladders (step and extension).
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow verbal and written instructions (English).
• Communicate with peers and supervisors (English).
• Perform physical activity: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, vision.

• Indoor/outdoor conditions may include, but are not limited to, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, hazards, and atmospheric conditions.
• Overall physical activity level:
  Sedentary—exerting up to 10 lb of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently;
  Light—exerting up to 20 lb of force occasionally and/or 10 lb of force frequently;
  Medium—exerting up to 20–50 lb of force occasionally and/or 10–25 lb of force frequently (anything above 50 lb will be machine‑lifted or a buddy‑lift).

• Willing and able to work additional hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Willingness to accept accountability and work well in a team.
