Essential Functions &Job Responsibilities
- Assists with employment, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, uniforms, payroll, organizational development and training.
- Facilitate activities related to recruitment, including job posting, candidate sourcing, coordinating interviews, requests for background checks, drug screens and/or results and attend recruitment/job fairs as needed.
- Conducts new hire and onboarding processes, including preparation and presentation of an offer letter, review of company policies and benefit plans and collection and processing of new hire paperwork.
- Coordinate events including but not limited to: employee recognition, branch events, customer and corporate tours.
- Responds to general inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, timecards, etc. from employees and leadership at various levels of the organization.
- Assures compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as regulations from other applicable agencies.
- Performs general clerical duties to include filing, copying, maintaining, tracking, mailing and ordering necessary materials, etc.
- Performs other related duties as required and provide assistance to others as needed.
- Maintains visibility on the warehouse floor to foster positive relationships with non-supervisory staff.
- Assists with invoicing and consignments.
- Supervises the branch receptionist.
- Responsible for ordering supplies, filing and general administrative tasks.
- Some travel required - approximately 25%.
- General understanding of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, COBRA and other state and federal regulations
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of a group.
- Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems and Canva
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Able to maintain confidentiality and objectivity
- Interpersonal skills with a courteous and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team to support overall business objectives.
