EMS Skills Instructor

Position Details:

• Title: EMS Skills Instructor - Hourly
• Location: Weber State University - Ogden, UT
• Pay Rate: $23.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on certification level
• Position Type: Hourly/Work Study, Pooled position (applications reviewed as positions become available)

Responsibilities include teaching emergency medical services skills in laboratory settings, including EMT or Paramedic skills. Supervision by full-time or adjunct faculty is provided.

Qualifications:

• Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification
• 1 year of EMS agency experience or faculty recommendation
• Utah EMT certification (EMT skills), National Registry Paramedic, Utah Paramedic certification
• Current AHA BCLS certification; AHA ACLS and PALS for Paramedic instruction
• Basic computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Graduation from a CAAHEP/CoAEMSP accredited program
• Utah Bureau of EMS or NAEMSE Instructor’s certification
• Critical Care Transport Course

Note:

Hourly instructors are utilized on an "as needed" basis with no guaranteed hours. Due to ACA regulations, individuals previously salaried at Weber State are ineligible for hourly/adjunct roles for six months.
