Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in bank/mortgage compliance or lending operations
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state lending regulations, including HMDA, fair lending, and QC standards
  • Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance and translate it into actionable policy
  • Effective communication skills with experience advising executives and regulatory bodies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lending compliance platforms

Job Description
  • Program Oversight & Strategic Execution
    • Partner closely with the Mortgage Operations team, advising on regulations and their applicability to our operations.
    • Drive strategic alignment across compliance and operations teams to optimize workflows.
    • Co‑lead the Bank’s lending compliance program, overseeing consumer lending.
    • Develop, revise, and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate compliance risk and ensure regulatory alignment.
    • Monitor and report lending compliance violations and trends to VP Compliance Program Manager.
    • Integrate compliance controls, testing, and monitoring into business unit workflows.
  • Regulatory Leadership
    • Manage the Bank’s HMDA program, including LAR preparation and submission.
    • Oversee the fair lending program, including quarterly analysis and discrimination risk assessments.
    • Lead the mortgage QC program, including vendor oversight, reporting, and remediation.
    • Facilitate regulatory examinations and audits related to lending and HMDA.
  • Advisory & Training
    • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to business units and mortgage personnel.
    • Interpret and disseminate new regulations, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
    • Develop and deliver formal compliance training across departments.
    • Review and approve marketing materials, disclosures, and customer agreements for regulatory compliance.
  • Governance & Collaboration
    • Actively participate in the Management Compliance Committee and Fair Lending Committee.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a proactive and transparent compliance environment.
    • Function as liaison with regulatory agencies on matters of interpretation, examination, and enforcement.
  • Professional Development
    • Maintain relevant certifications (e.g., CRCM) and stay current on emerging regulatory trends.
    • Attend industry conferences, webinars, and training sessions to enhance expertise and credential the Bank’s compliance program.
