Pipe Support Engineer – Ogden, UT

Cimarron is seeking a Pipe Support Engineer to locate and design supports for various piping systems and perform associated calculations for the Sentinel program in Ogden, UT. This onsite position offers a 9X80 work schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a strong work/life balance. A relocation allowance can be provided for candidates not local to the Ogden area.

Cimarron is proud to support the Northrop Grumman/Bechtel team in designing the next‑generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system for the U.S. Air Force. All full‑time hires for this opportunity are eligible for a $5,000 referral bonus.

• Utilize knowledge of common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC and ASME B31.3.
• Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost‑effective design.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
• Perform work in a 3D model environment.

• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance and complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
• Must possess a valid, unexpired Real ‑compliant driver’s license or state‑issued identification card at the time of hire.
• 6 or more years of related experience.
• Ability to review/approve piping layouts & support requirements per DoD standards/ASME B31.3.
• Familiarity with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.
• Hands‑on experience using a stress analysis program.
• Prior experience working in a 3D model environment.
• Experience with GT Strudl for support/frame analysis or a similar tool.
• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.

• Active Secret clearance.
• Previous DoD project experience for Risk Category 5 facilities.
• Hands‑on experience using a structural frame analysis program.
• P.E. registration.
• Previous Bechtel project experience.
