Job Summary /Basic Function

The Director of Recruitment provides strategic leadership for Weber State University’s recruitment efforts, aligning with the institution’s mission of access, opportunity, and student success. This position leads the development and execution of data‑informed recruitment strategies, supervises recruitment staff, and oversees the prospective student funnel from inquiry through application and admission.

In close partnership with the Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment, the Director translates institutional enrollment goals into targeted market strategies and measurable outcomes. The role drives decisions regarding recruitment territories, travel, events, and vendor partnerships based on return on investment, enrollment performance, and capacity, leveraging CRM and enrollment data to guide strategy and hold the team accountable to clear performance metrics.

The Director ensures responsible stewardship of institutional resources while cultivating a collaborative, student‑centered culture committed to expanding access and strengthening enrollment outcomes.

This position requires travel and work during evenings and weekends as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Five years full‑time college employment experience in academic advisement, registration, admissions, financial aid, student services, or enrollment services, or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of related supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dynamic presentation skills
  • Knowledge of higher education recruitment best practices and enrollment management principles
  • Experience with implementing and utilizing CRM in conjunction with SIS systems to make data‑informed decisions on the enrollment pipeline
  • Self‑motivated with ability to manage and motivate students and professional staff
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
