The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) at Weber State University invites qualified applicants to apply for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses and laboratories in the campus and online degree programs. Additional responsibilities will include advising potential and current MLS students, mentoring MLS undergraduate research students, and participating departmental outreach events.
QualificationsA master’s or doctoral degree in MLS/CLS or related field is preferred. If the candidate does not have a master’s degree, they must commit to a master’s program within two years of hiring and complete the degree within four years of starting the position. At least two years of teaching at the college level. Experience in any of the following disciplines is preferred, molecular diagnostics, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, phlebotomy, and biostatistics.
