Job Description:
The Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing at Weber State University seeks innovative and enthusiastic faculty who have a passion for nursing and nursing education. This is a 12-month instructor position. Instructor positions are temporary appointments that are renewable by separate contract at the sole discretion of the University.
Responsibilities- Teaching assignments are contingent upon qualifications and experience. Selected candidates will teach in the Associate Degree Nursing program.
- Selected candidates may teach in a variety of modalities (face to face, online, lab, simulation, and/or clinical) and at various campus locations.
- All faculty are required to plan, implement, and elevate the existing curriculum.
Required:
- Master of Science in Nursing required by April 30, 2026. Must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program (or related/equivalent).
- Active unencumbered state of Utah or compact state registered nurse or advanced practice registered nurse license.
- Basic technology skills.
Preferred:
- Doctorate degree in nursing or related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to integrate technology in nursing education.
- Previous experience as a nurse educator.
- Teaching experience in higher education.
- Clinical nursing experience in related areas of teaching.
- Demonstrated scholarship activities.
- Authored publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Physical Requirements
:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.
Vision
:
Visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision necessary for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, using a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Work Environment
:
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
