Job DescriptionThe Instructor of Developmental Mathematics will teach courses in developmental and college mathematics, participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff, and contribute to the department and university in efforts to enhance student success.
NOTE:
Instructor positions are temporary appointments renewable annually by separate contract at the sole discretion of the University.
- Teach pre-college level mathematics and quantitative literacy using research-based mathematics teaching practices.
- Contribute to the work of the department and institution to promote student success.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- One year of experience teaching developmental mathematics courses or equivalent.

Physical Requirements of this position:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.
Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision:
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
