A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Riverdale Elementary for a part‑time Elementary Aide (Emphasis/es: Math Intervention, Reading Intervention, and Recess/Lunchroom Supervision). This paraprofessional position is for 5.75 hours per day, 180 days (9 months) per year and is compensated according to Lane 4(B) of the Paraprofessionals Salary Schedule.

Job Summary:Under the direction of the principal and teacher(s), the Elementary Aide assists teachers in a variety of capacities in the instruction and supervision of students. Attendance, physical presence, and timeliness are required and are essential functions of this position. As school needs change, your job description and essential functions could change from year to year to include Playground, Lunchroom, Classroom, STEM, Art, etc.
Essential Functions:- Assists in the preparation of instructional materials.
- Assists in the instruction of students and other classroom activities as needed.
- May tutor students individually or in small groups under the direction of the teacher.
- Assists with physical and emotional maintenance of students with disabilities including assessing curriculum and participating in school or classroom activities.
- Assist students needing supplemental help with various school subjects and programs.
- Assist in the administration of a variety of tests and monitor students’ academic progress.
- Keeps accurate data on assigned students or groups of students.
- Supports a school environment that helps students develop and maintain a positive self‑concept.
