Academic Year Math Tutor

Job Summary

Provide math tutoring to Upward Bound high school students during the academic year, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and by appointment throughout the week, as requested by students. Occasionally implement grade‑level specific college preparatory math activities and lessons.

• Deliver one‑to‑one or small group math tutoring to high school students.
• Plan and prepare tutoring lessons tailored to each student’s skill level.
• Coordinate with program staff to schedule sessions and track student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and assessment results.

• Post‑secondary education with a major in mathematics or a related discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Experience tutoring, mentoring, or community service with high‑school level students.

• Graduate of a TRIO program or experience overcoming challenges similar to the target population.
