A position has been declared open in the WSD for a Landscape Architect Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position is for 2.5 hours per day, 9 months per year and will be for the  school year.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching Landscape Architect courses and leading discussions.
• Planning instruction, activities, assignments, projects, and assessments covering state standards.
• Providing comprehensive instruction on the following topics:
• History of Landscape Architecture
• Elements of Landscape Design
• Plant Selection
• Site Analysis
• Developing a curriculum that engages students in landscape architecture.
• Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:
This role may involve light physical activities such as standing, walking, and occasional lifting of instructional materials. Attendance is an essential function of this job opportunity.

• Teaching certification in the relevant subject area

• Valid teaching license or relevant endorsement in Landscape Architecture or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in Landscape Architecture or a related field
• Proficiency in teaching and curriculum development
• Strong knowledge of state standards and their application to instruction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate students
