Schedule & Travel DetailsThis is a full‑time, Tuesday‑Friday position (8AM–5PM) with a 1‑hour lunch.
Logan locations operate 9AM–6PM, also with a 1‑hour lunch.
You will travel between multiple Platinum Dental locations, including:
- North Logan
- Cache Valley
- Providence
- Redwood
- Central Ogden
- East Ogden
- Fairfield
- Tooele
- Magna
- South Provo
The Role
Platinum Dental is seeking an experienced traveling periodontal dental assistant to serve as a specialty assistant within our periodontal program. This role supports high‑quality periodontal care across multiple offices.
You will play a key part in maintaining consistency, training other dental assistants, and ensuring each location is fully prepared for periodontal procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and prepare patients for periodontal treatments.
- Assist the periodontist with 4‑handed dentistry, surgical sets, and perio procedures.
- Select, set up, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Manage and order supplies for the traveling perio kit.
- Communicate supply needs to each office.
- Complete lab tasks as instructed.
- Provide post‑operative instructions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well‑stocked operatories.
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Proven experience as a periodontal or specialty dental assistant—this role requires a lead‑level assistant.
- Leadership skills:
Ability to train other DAs and oversee perio setup consistency. - Technical skills:
Strong knowledge of periodontal instruments, surgical procedures, and sterilization protocols. - Organization:
Excellent attention to detail; able to manage inventory across multiple locations. - Communication:
Strong communication skills with patients, teams, and office leadership. - Regulatory understanding:
Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
