At the Commercial Flight Controls Division, we are the preferred supplier of flight control solutions for the commercial, regional, business jet and advanced air mobility marketplace through offering a premier customer experience with superior engineered products that exceed our customer and regulatory requirements.
We are seeking an experienced Division Contracts Director to lead contracts management and strategic pricing for a major commercial aerospace division. This role owns the full lifecycle of complex commercial contracts with large aerospace OEM customers and drives profitable growth through effective contract and pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Division’s commercial contracts function for all major programs.
- Own and lead complex, high value contract negotiations with major commercial aerospace customers.
- Set and execute strategic pricing and margin expansion initiatives across the Division.
- Lead the team that manages customer backlog and order entry, ensuring accuracy, on‑time conversion, and alignment with contractual commitments.
- Own the demand component of the SIOP process, partnering with Commercial, Operations, and Finance to translate contracts, customer forecasts, and backlog into an accurate demand plan.
- Advise Division and Group leadership on contractual risks, liabilities, and negotiation strategies.
- Ensure consistency of contract terms and conditions across the division.
- Develop, coach, and mentor a high‑performing Contracts, Strategic Pricing, and Order Management team.
- Establish and maintain processes, tools, and training for contract review and approval.
- Oversee contract policy compliance, including US export compliance; act as Empowered Official.
- Coordinate with international customers and suppliers on contract terms, letters of credit, and offset strategies.
- Partner cross‑functionally (Sales, Finance, Program Management, Supply Chain, Legal, Engineering, Operations) to support bids, proposals, and program execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or related field required; MBA or JD strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive contracts experience, including 7+ years in a leadership role required.
- Professional contracts certification (e.g., NCMA, IACCM or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing large, complex commercial aerospace contracts with major OEMs.
- Deep understanding of commercial contract law, terms and conditions, and risk management.
- Advanced knowledge of US export compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated success in pricing, margin improvement, and commercial performance initiatives.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a complex environment.
- Proficiency with contract management systems and standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
