The Administrative Specialist II supports the School of Performing Arts, which includes Dance, Music, Theatre, and Sound Production & Recording. Responsibilities include SPA main office front desk coverage, phone and email management, inter‑office communication, budgeting tasks, student and faculty support, managing the course schedule, and facilitation of school business.
The School of Performing Arts is served by two Administrative Specialists who will collaborate to identify, improve, and implement best practices to support the School. The Administrative Specialist II must demonstrate initiative and follow through. Attention to detail, creativity, and effective use of resources are essential components to this position. The Administrative Specialist II has routine access to confidential information pertaining to students and employees.
Confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment are essential in this role.
- High School graduate
- Two years of administrative or clerical experience that includes the use of programs such as Word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe, Google etc.
- Associate’s degree
- Budgeting experience
- Experience with Google Suite and Box
- Ability to adapt to new equipment & technology
- Effective communication skills

Visual Acuity Requirements:Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
