Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for night shifts requiring at least 2 years of CICU experience and valid IL RN licensure.

Job Details

• Work in a 6-bed ICU unit within an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital,

• Care for critically ill adult patients with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios,

• Night shifts (3x12 hours), including every other weekend,

• Floating to Medical Cardiology or Med/Surg units may be required within scope,

• Uses EPIC charting system,

• No on-call responsibilities,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted),

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience outside of orientation,

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS,

• EPIC EMR experience required,

• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility,

• First-time travelers accepted,

• No previous permanent employment at the facility within the past year,

Additional Information

• Provide care for high-acuity patients with support from Tele-ICU intensivist consultants,

• Must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously; may serve as relief charge nurse,

• Up to 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, but not permitted during the first week of orientation,

• Navy scrubs required,

• No local candidates accepted,

• Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled,
