Overview
Seeking an Illinois-licensed Nurse Practitioner to join an Oncology practice in Decatur, IL, primarily working in the clinic with occasional travel to other locations.
SummaryUnder physician supervision, the NP provides primary care and medical services as part of the hematology/oncology team, managing patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and education.
Responsibilities- Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, interpret data, and establish diagnoses.
- Order diagnostic tests, assist with procedures, administer medications, and suture wounds.
- Educate patients on health, illness prevention, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient care, triage calls, and evaluate emergency situations.
- Participate in professional development, research, and quality improvement activities.
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, current Illinois licensure, CPR certification, and EPIC training. Must have strong clinical skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast‑paced, demanding environment involving oncology patients.
