The HSE/DOT Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the company's Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). for the Company’s south Texas operations near Laredo, Texas. This role demands proactive field leadership, disciplined execution, and full personal ownership of safety, compliance, and operational integrity at the frontline level. The HSE/DOT Specialist is expected to take the initiative, drive improvements, and collaborate across all departments to ensure that safety is not merely a requirement but embedded in the Company’s culture.

• Own the process of conducting regular wellsite visits, facility inspections, and vehicle audits to identify and correct hazards proactively.
• Execute pre-startup safety reviews for new pad startups, ensuring safe launch of operations.
• Lead Journey Management efforts by assessing routes, identifying risks, and implementing field signage to guide safe transportation practices.
• Investigate accidents and incidents thoroughly, producing detailed, actionable reports and leading corrective follow-up efforts.
• Take ownership of emergency response readiness, including planning, drill participation, and equipment verification.
• Conduct new hire Defensive Driving and PEC training and assist with New Hire Orientation and road tests as needed.

• Bachelor's degree, Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related fields preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of safety requirements, including OSHA and DOT regulations, preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
• Willingness to travel to various work sites and locations as needed.
• Maintain a valid driver's license that meets the Company’s insurance requirements.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

• Able to perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and inclement weather.
• Able to wear proper PPE including but not limited to steel-toed boots, hard hat/bump cap, safety glasses, and appropriate gloves when necessary.
• Be able to pull, push, and lift 30 pounds.
