Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

Pay range: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour
. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process and the potential to earn up to 8% on transactions (which could average an additional $3.23 per hour on top of hourly rate).

Position Summary:

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, assists with inquiries and problem resolution, and works with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training successfully.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
  • Cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. Applicants will receive more details during the interview process.
