Full-Time Retail Sales Associate — Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.

We offer a compensation package that includes an hourly wage plus commission. Pay ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour
, with additional potential earnings through commission.

Commission information is specific to performance and location. Eligible employees can earn commission on personal performance with the potential to earn 2-8% based on gross profit, with a note that details are provided during the interview process.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods, including other physical tasks as required by law.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Must be able to work at exterior locations or retrieve products stored in exterior storage as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed by the business.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants are provided with more details regarding the commission incentive plan during the interview process.
