Summary:

A Floral Clerk is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction by building a reputation for Ultimate Service. He/She will perform all floral duties, including process of orders and floral design. Execute floral procedures as outlined by company and Floral Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest

• Differentiate in products and service by producing quality products

• Follow daily work schedule as assigned by management

• Utilize floral systems and processes consistently and correctly

• Practice safe work habits; maintain a high level of store cleanliness, organization, and a safe work environment

• Ensure quality and consistent product availability and solutions to our guests

• Follow attendance tardiness guidelines in accordance with team member handbook

• Perform floral duties in accordance with company guidelines

• Assist in watering and department maintenance as needed

• Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management

Key Requirements:

• Working knowledge of plants and flowers

• Ability to work in varied temperatures

• Ability to work in fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner

• Ability to perform all physical aspects of the floral duties including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, and walking

• Ability to read, write and complete company forms for sales reporting

• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude

• Ability to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs.

• Be able to perform all other physical aspects of the position including but not limited to bending, squatting, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walking

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays

• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
