The Retail Associate ensures our customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets all customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow associates with respect, follows all company best‑practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Retail Associate is expected to be engaged in all tasks assigned during working hours and will be expected to perform a range of functions in all areas of the store as business needs require.
The Associate may be requested to perform additional tasks in specific situations, if performance of these tasks will help achieve our customer service and operational goals.
- Understands safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do.
- Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure environment. Maintains clutter‑free egress to emergency exits and reports unsafe conditions immediately.
- Treats all customers and associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times.
- Assists customers – register‑trained, helps with merchandise, answers questions politely and knowledgeably. Greets customers with eye contact, smiles, and says “hello” throughout the store and “thank you” with every register transaction.
- Provides prompt and efficient responses to customers at all times. Responds to service calls immediately and handles all customer issues courteously, calling a member of the Store Leadership when needed.
- Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
- Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high‑touch areas.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the dress code.
- Performs daily sizing and recovery per company best practice to keep the store neat, clean, and organized.
- Expedites newly received merchandise onto the sales floor with a sense of urgency, merchandising all items per monthly presentation guidelines.
- Understands Loss Prevention Awareness program, Shortage Highway, Store Protection Specialist responsibilities, and merchandise protection standards.
- Demonstrates integrity and honesty; safeguards confidential information, cash, credit data, and merchandise.
- Follows Mark-Out-of-Stock policies, properly processes each piece, and notifies Store Leadership for approval of disposals.
- Follows all cash, check, charge card, refund, void, and offline procedures maintaining high accuracy.

- Ability to perform basic retail mathematical calculations.
- Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC.
