Registered Nurse- PRN​/Night

Overview

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric. He/she is also responsible for the overall direction and supervision of all patient care during his/her shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care to patients. Satisfies the established standards of the nursing practice.

Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to LVN, CNA/PCA and other patient care team members. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. As appropriate, takes into consideration the patient s age in the performance of any task.

• Direct and indirect nursing care for patients aged 18 years and older, to geriatric.
• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care during the shift.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care.
• Satisfy the established standards of nursing practice.
• Supervise and delegate patient care tasks to LVN, CNA/PCA and other patient care team members.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.
• Consider patient age when performing any task as appropriate.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Unrestricted RN license.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS preferred.
• Acute care experience required; critical care experience required.
