RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts

• On-call requirement of 8 days per month

• Must wear navy scrubs

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Local candidates not accepted

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in surgical patient care

• Work as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs and other personnel

• Ensure supplies are available and maintain timeliness of surgical cases

• Communicate with patient families

• Update physician preference cards

• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures

• Supervise personnel delivering patient care

• Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, regulatory requirements, physician orders, and hospital policies

• Anticipate and plan for patient care in the operating room environment
