Logistics Team Lead

Position: Logistics Team Lead I
We are looking for a Logistics Team Lead I located in Odessa, Texas. The Logistics Team Leader oversees a team of material handlers responsible for receiving, offloading, staging, and shipping raw materials and finished goods—including totes, drums, bulk trucks, and railcars—within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant logistics operations while driving continuous improvement and supporting plant production needs.

** Key Responsibilities
** Prioritize daily tasks and allocate resources to meet production schedules and shipping/receiving demands.

Oversee the safe offloading and loading of totes, drums, bulk trucks, and railcars in accordance with plant procedures and regulatory requirements.

** Minimum Qualifications
** Forklift experience Experience in logistics, warehousing, or material handling—preferably in a chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment

Minimum of 2 years of leadership or team lead experience overseeing hourly or frontline employees

Working knowledge of bulk material handling, rail operations, and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills

Ability to work safely in an environment involving chemicals, industrial equipment, and regulated processes
** Preferred Qualifications
** Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, military, or chemical plant environment

Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, think critically, and lead cross functional problem solving
