About the Role:
Peak Industrial Plains is in need of an Aluminum Welder with mechanic background.
The Welder-Mechanic plays a critical role in fabricating and repairing aluminum components such as frames, ramps, and bodies of trailers. The Welder-Mechanic contributes to operational efficiency by minimizing downtime through timely repairs and quality workmanship. Ultimately, this position supports the overall productivity and safety of the workplace by delivering reliable mechanical and welding solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a welder and mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Certification in MIG/TIG welding
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
- Perform welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and arc welding to fabricate and repair metal parts and structures.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to execute precise fabrication and repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventive servicing on mechanical systems to reduce equipment failure.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and materials used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.
