About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manual Machinist to join our team in Odessa, TX. In this hands-on role, you will operate manual machine tools to produce precision metal components that meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in working with lathes, mills, and grinders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate metal parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
  • Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for each job.
  • Monitor machine operations and listen for irregular sounds to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Adjust cutting speeds and feeds to optimize performance and reduce vibration.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators.
  • Ensure all parts conform to engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Use both manual and computer-controlled machinery as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
  • Support other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Manual Machinist in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
