Overview:

At Kaige Kubota, we take pride in delivering equipment that’s ready to perform the moment it reaches the customer. As a PDI Technician , you’ll be responsible for inspecting, assembling, and preparing new and used equipment for delivery or display. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble equipment such as tractors, mowers, excavators, RTVs, and attachments according to factory specifications.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-delivery inspections using checklists and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Install implements and attachments (loaders, backhoes, tillers, etc.).
  • Top off fluids, adjust tire pressure, charge batteries, and test functionality of PTOs, hydraulics, lights, etc.
  • Report any mechanical or cosmetic issues to service leads.
  • Clean, detail, and prep machines for delivery or lot display.
  • Assist with the unloading/loading of units from trucks or trailers.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
Requirements/

Skills:

  • Mechanically inclined with basic tool experience (hand and power tools).
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly preferred.
  • Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must have good eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal hearing for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of agricultural and construction equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, assembly diagrams, and checklists accurately.
  • Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented.
  • Deliver quality and consistent assembly and inspection work.
  • Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Be detail-oriented and ensure equipment is fully functional before customer delivery.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and workspace.
  • Take pride in your work—you’re the last step before equipment hits the field.
Equipment & Brands You’ll Work With:
  • Land Pride: rotary cutters, tillers, box blades, landscape rakes, augers, grapples, buckets, etc.
  • Walker Mowers: assembly and setup of commercial mowing units
  • ECHO: handheld tools such as trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws
  • GMG: scissor lifts and boom lifts
  • Various other equipment and brands
