Job Details:

• Work in high-risk Level III NICU caring for neonates

• 36 or 48 hours per week schedule options available

• Patient ratio of 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• 36 hours of orientation provided

• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required

• Travel experience required

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Required certifications: PALS, BLS, NRP, STABLE

• Must have Cerner charting system experience

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

• Provide care for neonates 34+ weeks including blood glucose monitoring, hyperbilirubinemia management, and phototherapy

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and manage complex neonatal conditions

• Perform specialized procedures including arterial line management, central line care, and ventilator management

• Experience required with bubble CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, high frequency ventilation, and nitric oxide

• Provide developmental care, patient/family teaching, and breastfeeding support

• Manage various feeding methods including bottle, breast, and gavage feedings

• Work with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, interpretation services, and social services

This medical center operates a high-acuity Level III NICU providing specialized care for critically ill neonates and premature infants. The facility offers comprehensive neonatal services including support for high-risk deliveries and complex medical conditions. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and maintains a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to patient care with support from respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, and dedicated unit secretaries.
