Nurse Clinician

Position Summary

Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates the cardiac rehabilitation activities, which include education, physical exercise and psychological and emotional support to the client and family.

• Education:
  
  Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. BSN preferred.
• Training and
  
  Experience:
  
  Three years' current clinical cardiovascular related experience.
• Training and
  
  Experience:
  
  One year teaching experience preferred.
• BCLS certification.
• ACLS within one year of employment.
• Successful completion of the Basic Arrhythmia course within one year of employment.
• Successful completion of Hospital and Nursing orientation within 3 months of hire.
• Successful completion of Customer Service class within 1 year of hire.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Unit orientation.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Demonstrates nursing process elements: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Appropriate documentation.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Demonstrate accuracy in performing technical skills.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Demonstrates proper age-specific care.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Medication administration.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Participate in Code Blue.
• Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer:
  Restraint training.

• Able to work under stressful conditions.
• Much walking required.
• Flexible working hours may be required.
