- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Valid teacher certification as per federal, state, or local regulations, including compliance with applicable requirements.
- Prior experience or formal training in working with at-risk students preferred.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution.
- Implements the school’s mission, educational philosophy, and standards.
- Assists in enforcing school policies regarding student conduct.
- Ensures safety of students and school property.
- Maintains accurate records as per regulations.
- Attends meetings and serves on committees as required.
- Establishes and maintains communication channels with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Collaborates with colleagues and administrators.
- Instructs students according to schedule.
- Plans customized curriculum catering to individual student needs.
- Creates conducive learning environments.
- Prepares for classes and demonstrates readiness when requested.
- Encourages high standards of behavior and academic achievement.
- Uses positive behavior interventions.
- Maintains discipline fairly.
- Sets clear objectives aligned with curriculum standards.
- Utilizes various instructional techniques and media.
- Regularly assesses student progress and provides reports.
- Addresses learning difficulties and involves specialists when necessary.
- Supports special programs through effective instruction and participation in relevant committees.
- Plans and supervises assignments for support staff and volunteers.
