Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

• On-call requirements: 2-3 weekdays per week after shift (4:00 PM to 7:30 AM) and every 4th weekend (Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM)

• 30-minute response time required for on-call situations

• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios

• Handle 1-16 cases per day depending on the day of the week

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

• Minimum 3 years of Cath lab experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

Required skills:

Monitor/circulate, moderate/conscious sedation, cardiac rhythm interpretation, patient recovery after sedation

• Patient types include STEMI/NSTEMI, angioplasty/angiography, ASD, PFO, right/left heart catheterization, thrombectomy

• EP experience preferred for pacemakers, generator changes, loop recorders, ICD lead revisions, cardioversions

• Work with EPIC charting system (preferred) and Mac Lab equipment

• Use Alaris and Pyxis systems

• May float to EP if experienced

• 2-day orientation program with educator and preceptor

• Scrubs provided and free parking available

• One holiday expectation per assignment

Facility:

This 91-bed healthcare facility serves as a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, featuring a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory with 2 cath lab beds and 1 hybrid cath/EP room. The facility is actively rebuilding and growing their cath lab department with strong leadership support, experienced cardiologists, and a collaborative team of technicians and nurses. The department offers modern equipment and technology to support complex cardiac procedures and provides excellent educational resources for staff development.
