Phlebotomist

Job Description:

• The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the organization to patients by providing high quality blood collection and specimen preparation services.
• This role ensures patient comfort, safety, and accuracy while following established procedures and maintaining confidentiality.

• Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry experience.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
