Personal Trainer (Healthcare) – New York Sports Club and our family of brands is a long-standing, dynamic fitness club brand with locations in the Northeast. - Provide a positive fitness experience relevant to members' goals (S.M.A.R.T. goals) through scientifically based, personally tailored fitness programs.
- Deliver one-on-one personal training, small group training and member engagement activities including fitness floor engagement, events, external education and outreach.
- Drive retention through motivation, accountability, consistency and knowledge-based fitness programs with growth and results as a focus for both the member experience and the personal training business.
- Deliver legendary member experience as a NYSC club ambassador by providing service and solutions to meet member and business needs.
- Review and adhere to all NYSC and family brands documents including policies, procedures, employee handbook, codes of conduct, etc.
- Properly utilize all fitness tools provided and maintain client programs and assessment forms; store them appropriately.
- Maintain PT certifications and continuing education credits; be on time for all shifts.
- Create smart goal action plans to meet individual goals for revenue, sales and retention.
- Address member issues, questions, or concerns regarding fitness programs (including cancel requests, suspensions and transfers) and escalate to management as needed.
- Address maintenance or equipment issues visible to members; ensure fitness equipment and floor meet safety and functional standards.
- Complete all administrative tasks, including scheduling PT sessions two weeks in advance, rescheduling canceled appointments, updating availability monthly, and following session authorization policies.
- Use POS and membership system, timekeeping, and other programs to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Fitness Leaders and the Operations/Sales team to meet new members and prospects, evaluating needs to provide fitness services at POS.
- Regularly partner with Fitness Leaders for direction, coaching and feedback; navigate IT platforms; achieve revenue, session and sales targets with month-over-month growth.
- Engage with members, clients and peers through internal and external prospecting activities; stay in contact with clients outside of training appointments.
- Deliver safe and effective fitness programs with documented mid-program assessments; work with clients on schedules and needs to tailor programs for best results.
- Meet monthly and quarterly production minimums for the PT role; perform additional duties as assigned.
- H.S., Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Recreation or related field is helpful but not required.
- Previous personal training experience is not required, but corporate gym setting experience is preferred if available.
- Active Child & Adult AED/CPR certification required.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Physical demands include ability to lift up to 45 pounds with or without accommodations, walk throughout clubs, climb stairs where applicable, and perform various movements during training.
- Good technical (fitness programming) and time management skills.
- Must have and maintain active NYSC and family brands approved CPT from one of the listed certifications below or approved equivalents.

Open schedule availability, including early or late shifts and weekends. Each work week may include:
Training sessions, Lead Generation, Administrative duties (meetings, calls, etc.), Fitness Orientations as assigned by Fitness Leader or self-scheduled.
