SummaryThe Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing ultrasound exams, demonstrates proficiency in cross sectional anatomy as it pertains to ultrasound and recognizes the significance of all structures visualized on the ultrasound unit and differentiates artifacts from normal or pathological processes in a timely matter.
Education Required- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Graduate of an A.M.A. accredited school of ultrasound.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Ultrasound skills in general diagnostic, OB/GYN, vascular, pediatric, and GU.
- Echo experience is a plus.
- R.D.M.S is required.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Standing:
Particularly for sustained periods of time. - Pushing:
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. - Pulling:
Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. - Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Repetitive motion:
Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, or fingers.
