You are a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a special interest in physical rehabilitation. You thrive in a hands‑on, patient‑centered environment where every session makes a difference. WhatYou’ll Be Doing
As a key member of the Rehabilitation Team at ASC, your role will be hands‑on, specialized, and integral to our mission of restoring wellness and mobility. You’ll work closely with our surgeons and medical staff to deliver tailored therapy plans that help patients heal and thrive.
Your Day‑to‑day May Include- Performing rehabilitation treatments such as therapeutic exercises, massage, range‑of‑motion therapy, hydrotherapy (tub/treadmill), laser therapy, shockwave therapy, etc.
- Collaborating with doctors to plan and tailor rehabilitation protocols to each patient’s needs.
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate treatment records in the EMR system.
- Communicating professionally with clients and referring veterinarians regarding patient status and outcomes.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Rehabilitation Department.
- Assisting with ordering, stocking, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Supporting other hospital departments as needed.
- Current NYS Veterinary Technician License.
- Prior rehabilitation or physical therapy experience preferred.
- CCRP, CCRVT, or CCRA certification preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient restraint.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods during treatments.
- Strong team collaboration and independent work ethic.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed.
- Passion for animal health, recovery, and compassionate care.
