Responsibilities
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H+H Elmhurst is seeking a Physician (BC/BE) in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine to join its full-time faculty and participate in both inpatient and outpatient care areas. Responsibilities include rotations in MICU, Progressive Care Unit, pulmonary and critical care consults, procedures and PFT interpretation. Familiarity with pigtail catheters, indwelling pleural catheters, EBUS, pleural biopsies, percutaneous tracheostomies and intubations is preferred but not required.
In addition to inpatient care, responsibilities include serving Elmhurst's uniquely diverse patient population via outpatient pulmonary clinics. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be board certified/board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Candidates should hold a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
