Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, field service role based in Oceanside, CA. The CNC Field Service Technician will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery with a focus on Okuma and Fanuc systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software issues on equipment, interacting with customers to address technical concerns, and ensuring equipment functions efficiently.
Qualifications- Travel daily to customer facilities throughout Southern California
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines
- Clean and service machine coolant systems and tanks
- Perform Renishaw QC-20 ballbar testing and machine diagnostics
- Assist with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Install and integrate 3rd-party peripherals and accessories on CNC machines
- Complete and submit accurate service documentation including:
Service reports, Preventive maintenance checklists, Customer documentation - Maintain a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization while working on customer shop floors
- Safely operate forklifts or lifting equipment when required for conveyors or peripheral installations
- Communicate professionally with customers and ensure service commitments are completed as scheduled
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical systems
- Pay range: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour, depending on experience
