Veterinary Technician – Pacific Animal Hospital

Pacific Animal Hospital is looking for a full time Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About YouAs a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, LVT, RVT) preferred, not required
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Familiarity with veterinary software and medical terminology
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and administer medications
- Collect and process lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)
- Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical prep and recovery
- Educate pet owners on preventative care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow up with clients
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience – $21–26/hr the actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
