Magna Flow is a leading manufacturer and supplier based in Oceanside, CA of premium products to the automotive aftermarket industry. Through the Camburg division in Huntington Beach, CA, Magna Flow supplies race-inspired performance suspension products and vehicle uplifting services.

What You Will Be Doing

A Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems within a manufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure continuous, efficient production while minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Observe and incorporate all safety standards and regulations required for safe operation and repair of equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial manufacturing machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial robotics such as Fanuc, OTC Daihen, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform servo motor, VFD, and drive system diagnostics and replacements.
  • Maintain automated production equipment, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform laser alignment, precision measurement, or root-cause analysis on critical equipment.
  • Advanced electrical troubleshooting, including 480V systems, control circuits, relays, sensors, and motor controls.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Incorporate relevant technical manuals and documentation for a better understanding of system operations.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Communicate with machine operators to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions, and verify system problems.
  • Maintain records and make reports of breakdowns in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Thorough understanding of parts inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards within the maintenance department.
  • Assist with the repairs of facility equipment, including plumbing, lighting, air conditioning units, and restrooms.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade school and/or military training.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Maintenance, Industrial Electricity, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 3‑6 years of hands‑on experience with control systems, automation, and electronics.
  • 3‑6 years of hands‑on experience with electrical (110v‑480v AC, 24vDC, control systems, motor controls, etc.) and mechanical systems in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic, and robotic programs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, and fluid power troubleshooting.
  • Intermediate to advanced electrical knowledge minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Availability for flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Fundamental knowledge of basic hand tools and shop tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability, multitasking, and sound decision making.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including CMMS software, machine diagnostics interfaces, and Microsoft Office.
