Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
General Description:
The Landscape Construction Assistant Project Manager is an entry-level management position at Landscape Development Inc. (LDI) and will assist in overseeing the profit/loss, scheduling, staging, process flows, closeout and overall quality assurance of landscape construction projects. Typical projects range from $100,000 to $3,000,000, requiring experience and organizational ability. Job Functions
- Handle client relationships and many forms of daily communication.
- Participate in the job hand-off process from the Sales Team to the Project Management Team.
- Manage submittals, material requests (as applicable) project documentation, close-out documentation, project archives, etc.
- Proactively identify and manage bid discrepancies.
- Create material orders and submit to Purchasing Staff, as appropriate.
- Collaborate daily with Superintendents, Foreman, Laborers and office staff.
- Visit job sites to manage projects in a dynamic setting.
- Assist in the creation of Extra Work Authorizations, manage the Change Order process per client and contract requirements.
- Participate in weekly operation meeting with office staff. Attend bi-weekly Foreman meeting.
- Manage labor, turnover process, and maintenance walk-throughs.
- Acts as the communication between foremen, PM’s, Superintendents, fleet and purchasing for all project needs.
Adheres to all LDI Safety policies and procedures.
Skills/Abilities- “Client first” attitude for both internal and external customers.
- Strong math, communication and writing skills.
- Familiarity with MacOS and Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word.
- Organization skills, capability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Emotional intelligence – the ability to collaborate, get along, build strong friendships.
- Adherence to and promotion of LDI’s company doctrine, values and mission statement.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
- Solid understanding of the principles of LDI’s operational vision and division goals.
- Spanish is helpful, but also not required.
- Can navigate On Screen Take off.
- Understands landscape plans, details and specifications.
Ability and willingness to travel to client events, job sites and other divisions as required.
KPIs- Irrigation submittals (30 days from turnover)
- Landscape submittals (4-6 months before work is performed)
- Aggregate submittals (30 days after turnover)
- Aggregate buyout (30 days from turnover)
- Irrigation buyout (60 days from turnover)
- Landscape buyout (90 days from job start)
- Site furnishing buyout and submittal (60 days from turnover)
- EWA returned to client w/72 hours of client request
- 5% VE savings from submittals
- Charge order margin at 40%
