Salary Range: $80-110K (DOE)

Candidate must live in Central time zone

This role is remote with up to 70% travel

Position Summary

The Regional Safety Manager ensures that their region complies with OSHA health and safety rules and regulations. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining safe workplace policies and for identifying opportunities for improving conditions, analyzing hazards, and executing necessary safety programs. The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for compiling and maintaining required records, logs, and reports pertaining to safety, as required by the company, contractors, clients, and federal, state, and local regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow‑up assessments.
  • Plan, implement, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
  • Maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs as required by state laws and applicable by site and business unit.
  • Provide operations team guidance on health and safety processes ensuring adherence to industry, local state, and federal guidelines.
  • Comply with customer expectations and SLAs.
  • Collaborate with site‑level management to develop an Emergency Action Plan.
  • Coordinate investigations and root‑cause analysis for near‑miss and accident events.
  • Track safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create and approve manuals, internal policies and procedures in accordance with contract documents, good engineering practices, customer expectations, and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies, contract documents, good engineering practices, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate and monitor customer safety escalations and service requests involving safety protocols.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide regular on‑site project presence.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining risk assessment plans, conducting risk assessments, administering monthly random safety questionnaires and unplanned safety observations.
  • Maintain Vendor Supplier Portals as it relates to health and safety information for the region.

Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive health and safety management experience preferred.
  • Experience in employee health and safety (EHS).
  • Service industry experience preferred.
  • MUST be bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • In health care settings, required to maintain up‑to‑date immunizations and annual flu shots.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent. Or an equivalent combination of degree and experience.
  • Certifications in employee health and safety (EHS).
  • OSHA 10/30‑hour certification ideal.
