IT Consultant
To support the educational programs of the District by providing direction, management, and leadership with District-wide technology planning, applications development, and computer operations to increase access to information and facilitate productivity enabling the instructional and District-wide integration of technology.
Minimum QualificationsHigh-energy individual with proven managerial techniques and professional technology experience. The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this classification would typically be acquired through any combination of education, training, and relevant experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in information technology, educational technology, computer science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Six years of progressively responsible operational and/or educational instructional technology experience, including three years in a public sector or educational environment.
Technical, security, business, specialized, and project management certifications desirable.

Any candidate who attempts to directly contact individuals from the Personnel Commission, the Board, or district administration with the intent of influencing the selection process will be disqualified. Selection Process
The process includes an evaluation of application materials scheduled for the week of January 26th. Candidates demonstrating the strongest qualifications will be invited to a panel for a Qualifications Appraisal Interview to assess general and technical qualifications during the week of February 2nd. Successful candidates will receive a general and technical qualification examination. The top three candidates will be invited to a final selection interview at the district office 7-14 days after the examination.
The selected person will serve a probationary period of one year.
