Legacy Care is a company that provides GERIATRIC CHRONIC ILLNESS CARE at home so that older adults with chronic illnesses can stay home and be cared for in a dignified and life-enhancing manner. We specialize in post-hospital, post-rehab care, especially for those who have lost their ability to walk or take care of themselves due to a medical incident or from spending too much time in a hospital bed.

We are growing our team to support new clients and are looking for four life enhancement caregivers who can work flexible shifts, short shifts, part-time or full-time, in Encinitas.

You will be interviewed on the phone and, if a good fit, in person. You will be carefully matched with the client so that your work is fun and enjoyable and pays well starting at $20/hr.

• Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Light housekeeping activities
• Medication reminder
• Provide companionship
• Assist with errands and shopping
• Symptom management
• Documentation
• Reporting

• Current Active HCA (Home Care Aide) with previous experience as a caregiver, CNA, medical assistant, or similar role
• Current negative TB test or chest X-ray to rule out TB
• Reliable transportation
• First aid and CPR-certified
• Knowledge of light housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Compassionate, respectful, ethical
