Certified Medical Assistant; CMA

Overview

Matrix Providers is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Oceanside, CA
.

• Prepare examination rooms prior to the patient's arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Check the patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter readings.
• Obtain and document the patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form.
• Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
• Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
• Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when the patient is released.

• Employment Status: Full-time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position from $18.92 to $26.85.
• Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES. Programs accredited by ACCSC, ACICS, ACCET, or ACCJC are also acceptable.
• Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or current registration by the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or other recognized formal programs.
• Experience: Minimum of six months of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 6:00 am – 6:00 pm for an 8.5, 9, or 10.5-hour shift, with an uncompensated 30-minute or 1-hour meal break depending on shift length.
