Starting Wage

$33.63/hour

Location

On-site position in Vista, CA.

Schedule

5:00 AM to 1:40 PM Monday through Friday

Responsibilities
  • Create, organize, and maintain PM job plans, frequencies, and asset hierarchies in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ensure all automation assets—process and packaging—are accurately registered in the CMMS with complete maintenance histories.
  • Coordinate PM activities with Production Scheduling to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Work with the Parts Shop Administrator to verify required spare parts, tools, and consumables are available before each scheduled PM.
  • Maintain an updated PM calendar (weekly, monthly, annual) and communicate planned maintenance activities to the Automation and Production teams.
  • Ensure that Automation Technicians follow PM instructions as written and document results clearly and accurately.
  • Review PM reports for completeness, proper sign-offs, and follow-up actions.
  • Train and mentor Automation Technicians on proper PM documentation practices, including accurate CMMS data entry and GMP-compliant recordkeeping.
  • Ensure that completed PM records are properly stored, traceable, and ready for internal or external audits.
  • Analyze PM data and maintenance trends to identify recurring issues, recommend equipment improvements, and optimize PM frequencies.
  • Other duties as assigned within job scope.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automation maintenance, maintenance planning, or technical writing within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with process and packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, PLC‑controlled systems, and automated batching systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency level knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.) and basic data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) platforms (e.g., Fiix)
  • Understanding of GMP, 5S, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining PM procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, sensors, VFDs, and industrial automation control systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency level knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.) and basic data analysis.
