Quality Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to play a crucial role in the mitigation and elimination of Quality Fade as changes are implemented. This position involves reviewing, revising, and creating essential documents such as SQS, SQRs, and Work Instructions. The ideal candidate will collaborate on SCAR, NCMRs, and ICAR investigations, and work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams in Product Development Quality Matrices.
Supporting IQ, OQ, and PQ activities on new and existing products is a significant part of this role, along with creating and managing Manufacturing and Quality KPI data and trends.
- Mitigate and eliminate Quality Fade during change implementation.
- Review, revise, and create SQS, SQRs, and Work Instructions.
- Contribute and collaborate on SCAR, NCMRs, and ICAR investigations.
- Train and mentor personnel on quality standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing in Product Development Quality Matrices.
- Support IQ, OQ, and PQ activities for new and existing products.
- Create and manage Manufacturing and Quality KPI data and trends.
- Conduct Risk Assessment and Analysis.
- Experience as a Sustaining Quality Engineer in a regulated plastics manufacturing environment.
- Strong exposure to change management and quality fade prevention.
- Heavy investigation, validation, and documentation skills, particularly in ISO standards.
- Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years in Quality or Quality Engineering Certification.
- Proficiency in Technical Writing.
- Experience in Injection/Blow Molding.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience utilizing investigational tools such as fishbone and 5 whys.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, ERP, and eQMS systems.
The position involves interaction both internally and externally with teams such as Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and occasionally with vendors. The role requires collaboration across various departments to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Oceanside, CA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
