Position Overview
Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides high‑quality instructional services to students in grades K–12. This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative teamwork in designing, planning, and implementing individualized student programs. Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction, offering tutorial support, and consulting regularly with general education staff to ensure student success.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
- At least one year of classroom teaching experience preferred

Certifications:
Standard Elementary Teaching, Standard Secondary Teaching, Standard Special Teaching - Endorsement:
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred - Compliance with all applicable professional standards
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X‑ray (if applicable)
- Current Health Certificate (per state or contract requirement)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Local Pay Rate:
Up to $52.00/hour (negotiable) - Travel Pay: $2,250.00 weekly
