Position DetailsThe Mira Costa College International Languages Department seeks an associate instructor to teach German 201 in the Fall 2022 semester. While we are most immediately recruiting for Fall 2022, there is a possibility of assignments in future semesters as well. Pay AdministrationEmployees must arrange for direct deposit of paychecks via electronic funds transfer.
Application ProcedureIf you do not possess the exact degree major(s) listed in the Minimum Qualifications, you may submit an equivalency narrative and supporting documentation if the department decides to hire you. At that point, Human Resources will assist with the request. If you would like to submit a brief statement outlining equivalence at the time of application, you may do so, but the full request and supporting documents are not required for application purposes.

All degrees and units used to satisfy minimum qualifications must be from postsecondary institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. If your degree/coursework is from outside the United States, you must submit a detailed evaluation from a professional evaluation agency. A partial list of agencies can be found in the equivalency instructions.
Transcripts or translations in English still require the evaluation to show the U.S. equivalence of your degree.
The transcripts you attach must state the degree title, major, and date awarded.

Desirable Qualifications Basic FunctionUnder direction, plan, organize and teach assigned courses in German in accordance with approved course outlines, education code requirements and faculty contract provisions; provide feedback and guidance to students and evaluate student performance; and perform related duties as assigned.
