Sr. Project Inspector

These are TWO full-time on-site roles for a Senior Project Inspector, and a Project Inspector based in San Diego, CA. The Project Inspectors will oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, code compliance, safety standards, and timelines. Responsibilities include performing site inspections, reviewing construction plans, coordinating with contractors, maintaining progress reports, and ensuring the quality of materials and workmanship.

This position requires high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and collaboration with project teams to achieve successful outcomes.

• Technical skills and knowledge of construction inspection, building codes, and evaluating construction materials and workmanship
• Proficiency in project management, planning, and scheduling techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with construction teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address challenges during project execution
• Knowledge of safety procedures and adherence to safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts accurately
• Familiarity with document and progress report preparation
• A combination of education and directly related experience working as a quality inspector equal to:

5 to 10 years of experience for Project Inspector

More than 10 years of experience for Senior Inspector

• Prior experience in a supervisory role in project inspection or construction management
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Manager, OSHA safety certifications) are a plus
• High School Graduate and Technical Associate Degree
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge and experience in airport operations and construction is preferred

• Must pass drug/alcohol screening and livescan background checks for airport badging
• Class C Driver's License and ability to maintain eligibility under the Authority's Authorized Drivers Program
